If you want less cattitude and more gratitude from your pet – then it’s time to start thinking about making an Outdoor Cat Playground also known as a Catio. You can turn your tree into a fun activity center for your cat by adding items around it for them to play with. If you have a dog you can also replicate this idea for them.
Transforming your garden into a safe cat playground is a purrfect idea – and even if you don’t have an outdoor space, you can still incorporate play areas for them indoors too. For example you can make an indoor cat tree – the main thing is to consider their curiosity and think of things that will capture their interest. Items you may need include a saw, drill, wire cutters, wire fencing and wood and a staple gun.
Using an old tree, you can easily make an area of interest for your cat. Use scrap wood to make a swing and rope to hang it with. Cats will just love sitting and relaxing in this cat tree.
This is an excellent catio made by Karen Sample for under under $200 – for more details on her project you can check out her board here.
A framed structure containing shelves on different levels will really be fun for your cat. You could hang a toy mouse here and there to really please him.
Using some wire fencing and wood, you can create really fun areas for your cat. Check online for the various different plans or simply create your own idea.
